Waitlist privacy notice
Daemon Agent is not open yet. The one thing this site collects is the email address you give to join the waitlist. This page says what happens to it.
Who keeps it
Henry Stokes, who is building Daemon Agent, decides how the list is used and is responsible for it (the data controller). Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What we keep, and why
Your email address and the date you joined. We use them for one thing: to email you once, when Daemon opens. We use them because you asked us to by joining (your consent), and you can take that back at any time by leaving.
To stop the form being abused, Cloudflare counts how often it is sent from each internet (IP) address in a minute, which is in our legitimate interest of keeping the list free of junk. We never store your IP address with your email address, and the waitlist logs neither.
We never sell the list, never use it for anything else and never add you to another list.
Where it is kept
In a database run for us by Cloudflare and held in the European Union. On its way there, your request passes through Cloudflare's network, which may handle it in any country, including the US. Cloudflare's data processing terms protect it with the safeguards UK and EU law require for that. When Daemon opens, the list is given to the email service that sends the one email, and to no one else.
How long
Until the launch email is sent, or 12 months after you joined, whichever comes first. After the launch email we delete the whole list, including the copy the email service was given; an address still waiting 12 months after it joined is deleted automatically. If you leave before then, your address is deleted straight away. Cloudflare keeps a restore history of the database for 7 days, so a deleted address is gone for good 7 days later.
Leave the waitlist
Enter the address you joined with. You can also write to [email protected] and we'll delete it for you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and have it given to you in a form you can take elsewhere (data portability). Write to [email protected]; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK, or to the data protection authority where you live in the EU.
